Angie Raymond – Board of Advisors
Angie, a New York licensed attorney, is a widely published, internationally renowned expert on data privacy, technology and the law, and legal and privacy issues in emerging technologies. At Indiana University Bloomington, Angie simultaneously hold several positions which reflect her unique interests in and experience at the intersection of law, business and technology. She is the Director of the Program on Data Management and Information Governance at the Ostrom Workshop, Associate Professor of Business Law and Ethics at the Kelley School of Business, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at Maurer Law School.
Angie has widely written in the areas of online dispute resolution, data governance, artificial intelligence governance, privacy, international finance and commercial dispute resolution in highly-respected publications in the US and internationally. Angie is currently one of the US National Consultant delegates to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) reporting on the Electronic Commerce related issues.
She is currently completing her PhD at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary University of London, where she is researching the creation of policy to assist in Managing Bias, Partiality, and Dependence in Online Justice Environments. She holds an LLM from Queen Mary University of London, a JD from Loyola University New Orleans, a Master in Education from Western Illinois University, and a Bachelor in Psychology and Sociology from St. Ambrose University. Angie is also an athlete – she has completed a Half Ironman and numerous triathlons. Finally, she is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (aka guardian ad litem) for abused and neglected children.
Volasta relies on Angie’s international expertise to keep abreast of developments in governance and legal regimes for data privacy and technology, among many other things. Her unique insight and numerous international connections in law, technology and business are invaluable to our approach to legal management innovation.

During his career as a physician in Denver, Colorado, Andy focused on providing urgent care, primary care, emergency medical services and correctional care to under-served and vulnerable populations. He also simultaneously ran a boutique aesthetic medical practice. After 15 years practicing medicine, Andy decided to enter the world of entrepreneurship, first by founding a medical consulting and sales company in the genetic testing and medical devices industry.
In early 2017, Andy moved to Vietnam as part of the founding team of Winking Seal, a craft brewery located in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) – now one of top craft breweries in the region. He then opened Saigon’s only openly out and proud LGBT+ bar at the end of 2018, The Tipsy Unicorn. Tipsy, as it is known locally, quickly became popular with locals, tourists and ex-pats from around the world. Andy is also an avid traveler.
Andy holds an M.D. degree from University of Alabama – Birmingham; a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and (Bio)Medical Engineering from Touro College in New York; and a Bachelors in Biology from Birmingham-Southern College. He also studied medicine at the Georg-August Universität in Göttingen, Germany, and holds a HIPAA Privacy and Security Certification.
In addition to bringing his entrepreneurial experience to Volasta, Andy also provides training on medical record processing to our team.
Ben Lambert, Esq. – Founder/CEO
Ben is a New York licensed attorney with a broad-ranging background in law, business and technology. Prior to founding Volasta, Ben worked in traditional law practice, legal support services and management consulting for law firms. He has practiced law with AmLaw 100 firms and smaller law firms. He was highly involved in the creation of a new legal technology company – which has now received over $10 million in VC funding – serving as both subject matter expert and in-house counsel. He began his career as Operations Manager at a rapidly growing litigation support services company, he ended his tenure as Senior Manager Global Operations having been instrumental in increasing the company’s operational capacity by more than 400%.
Ben has also published in peer-reviewed journals in the US and abroad, as both sole author and co-author. His articles relate to the use of technology in international legal transactions and legal ethics and professional liability. Ben regularly follows advances in legal technology, law practice management and the “business of law”.
He holds an LLM (with Merit) in Corporate and Commercial Law from Queen Mary University of London. Ben earned his JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law, along with a Certificate of International and Comparative Law, and a Bachelor in History and Spanish from Missouri Southern State University. He also holds a Certificate in International Law from Pace University School of Law and also law studied at University College London and Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has worked in the UK, India, Myanmar (Burma) and Vietnam, in addition to various parts of the United States.
